Your team is scary now that you have a tender that knows how to play. I mean seriously I looked at you guys like the Flyers...good all around but horrendous in net.

Solid team + solid tender...and I don't want to play you anymore.

i thought Purcell and Killorn looked terrific out there. Palat is improving a lot and Hedman is finally looking like a top pairer. a lot of positives here

Cooper has said he wants opposing teams to see us coming up on the schedule and cringe. looking like that may be a real possibility soon

Only thing I disagree with you on is Hedman. He's looked like a top-pairing guy for a while now. People around the league don't appreciate just how good he's been for this team.

The guys have played well against some very good opponents. It's still early, but I like what I've seen so far.

It's just so nice that we have been able to keep up with the big boy teams and win more times then losing.

Lots of outcry at the time, but the fact is that the team dealt from a position of strength to fix a position of weakness. I said at the time and I'll say it again - that's a trade I'd make again any day.

Our top line is a nightmare for other teams, they have chemistry and are playing a good two way game. I really do hope that Malone stays healthy he is the perfect winger for Marty and Stammer playing like that. We have three lines of scoring depth, I really like Purcell on that third line, it seems like he is willing to shoot more for some reason with Palat and Johnson.

This team is fast, physical, and skilled. With a legit goalie in Ben I say again this team is going to hang tough all year.

Conacher is a feel good story but look where he is now, he was a product last year of playing on Stammer and Marty's line. I wish him well but he is no Marty and I don't think he will turn into a top 6 guy.

Bishop on the otherhand can and is a No. 1 goalie.

With Kucherov and now Drouin in the system, the Bolts just didn't have a need for yet another small forward. The right move was made. We're all seeing that now.

with so much forward depth do you guys see yzerman adding a good young defenseman in a trade during this season ?

Don't know that they really need another young defenseman right now.

Hedman-Salo
Carle-Gudas
Brewer-Sustr
Barberio-Aulie

...There's already a bit of a logjam there and there's more names coming up through the system.

conacher will be a top 6 guy but he will not be a marty not even drouin will be marty. At the time I viewed it as a great hockey trade tampa has great forward depth and ottawa had great goalie depth.

yes as much as I love all of our forwards one might be traded for a young defenseman in my opinion. Salo I don't think will be back and Sustr seems to be taking his place with Hedman, Carle-Gudas, Brewer-???

With all the young D talent I have been wondering if Brewer will be our second buy out. How about a Brewer, young forward for another top 4 defensemen. Would any team be interested?
